| Haiti Earthquake Victims Waiting For Help! |
Haiti Earthquake: a catastrophic earthquake struck near Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The full extent of the damage is still being assessed, but the death toll -- already in the thousands -- is climbing fast. This is the worst earthquake to hit the area in more than 200 years.
Our school has launched a campaign for Haiti earthquake victims. The campaign will continue until January 29.
If you would like to help the victims in Haiti, you may send a check or money order made payable to Raindrop Helping Hands to your student’s homeroom teacher. This organization is a non-profit organization that was established to meet the needs in our community and beyond. 100% of the funds collected through the Helping Hands' account will be delivered to the authorized people to deliver it to Haiti Earthquake victims. More information is listed on the following link . Click Here to Help Harmony will be accepting donations from Wednesday, January 20 to Friday, January 29. Thank you so much for giving to such a need! Click Here for Spanish Version

| Drop Everything and Read |
DEAR Parents;
We would like to draw your attention to a reading program we have been implementing at Harmony School of Innovation - Dallas called Drop Everything And Read. Everyday between 10:30 am and 11:00 AM students, teachers and everyone should drop everything and start reading.
We believe this program, which represents our commitment to litreacy, will help strengthen the reading and comprehensive skills of our students. Students are encouraged to read through several incentives such as certificates and awards for AR quizz points, tickets to Six Flags, classroom picnics and field trips.
Parent support is highly appreciated and crucial in this issue. Please, encourage the students to take online AR quizzes from home. For more question about our AR program contact one of our ELA teachers or an administrator.
